Former 'DWTS' host breaks silence about her recent divorce

The famous television co-host spoke candidly about her divorce and her relationship with her ex-husband.

46-year-old Brooke Burke opened up about her separation with her husband of six years, David Charvet, and revealed how the pair have remained on 'friendly terms' as she begins a 'new chapter' in her life.

She talked about embracing the new change in an interview with ET Online at the Global Gift Foundation USA Women's Empowerment luncheon at Yardbird Southern Table & Bar in Los Angeles.

She revealed in the interview that she was receiving the love and support of her family and keeping herself surrounded by "great friends and women" as she learned to cope with the change.

"It's just a really different time, but it's about being happy and it's about embracing that change. And David and I have a great relationship, so it's as good as it can possibly be," she told ET Online.

Burke further revealed that she had no plans of getting into another relationship anytime soon. Stating that she "can't even imagine" dating anyone else anytime soon.

She added that she could not tell for sure if she would ever be romantically involved with someone else, but she was enjoying the time to be by herself. She termed it as a "healthy decision" on her part.

Going back to the major theme of the event, Burke also talked about her support for female empowerment revealing that she was 'a big fan' of the 'Women's Empowerment' luncheon.

"I feel like it's the year [for empowerment and] just celebrating each other, raising our average, supporting one another and lifting each other up," she added in her interview.

She also told that such events are important because it allows women to "come together and grow the network." She further stressed that point that it was now time for women to find their voice and "be loud."
