'Dancing With the Stars' week ended with not one, but three couples being sent home
The most recent elimination round on Dancing With The Stars' 26th season was a shocker to fans and the audience when three couples were eliminated.
On May 14, 2018, figure skater Mirai Nagasu and her dance partner Alan Bersten were given the boot, along with luger Chris Mazdzer, who was partnered with Witney Carson.
Joining them was retired softball pitcher Jennie Finch, and her partner, South African born Keo Motsepe, according to Pop Culture.
Season 26, a shorter season than the others, is proving to be a rollercoaster ride with only three couples left in the game. Jamie Anderson and Johnny Damon where the first to be voted off.
During the second round of elimination, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and dance partner Lindsay Arnold didn't make the final score, with Arike Ogunbolwale and partner Gleb Savchenko following short on their heels.
The last remaining athletes are figure skaters Tonya Harding, Adam Rippon and football cornerback Josh Norman. Their partners are Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, and Sharna Burgess, respectively.
In true DWST-fan tradition, netizens took to Twitter to express their outrage. A user known only as Gabbi wasn't happy with the outcome and felt that Nagasu 'was cheated.'
Another user, C'est Moi, said Nagaus 'was robbed' and believed that Harding 'should have gone home the first night.' In fact, most fans were vocal about Harding being included in the DWTS cast.
'Disappointing how DWTS chose to embrace a woman who was found guilty by the FBI of planning an attack on a former skater,' said Taeri.
This season is hosted by comedian Tom Bergeson and sportscaster Erin Andrews, with professional dancers Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba returning as judges.
The finals are just around the corner and the one-hour finale will air on May 21, 2018, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
