Queen Elizabeth II’s grandchildren, as it turns out, have a lot of whacky photos with their tongues out, which isn’t very typical for a Royal.

Members of the Royal Family are always expected to be prim and proper. The men should remain stiff while the women have to maintain and exude class and poise, especially when photographed.

In spite of that, it seems that Her Majesty’s grandchildren have a bad, but adorable, habit when it comes to interacting with the public.

They are fond of sticking their tongues out.

Although Prince William had been photographed a few times with the said pose, it has always been Prince Harry’s signature look in photos ever since he was a child.

There are many old photos of Prince Harry with the exact same pose. Supposedly, sticking his tongue out and sassing the paparazzi was his habit as a young tot.

In 1988, photographers were able to capture as they were being sassed by the young prince by sticking his tongue out while he was getting out of the car to visit his then-newborn cousin, Princess Beatrice of York, at the hospital.

In another instance, a video of him showed doing the exact same thing when he arrived for a school nativity play with his mother, Princess Diana.

Princess Diana quickly noticed her son’s naughty gesture and pulled him away from sight, but her smile was clearly seen by the lenses. It seems that she was amused by her son as well.

Recently, during his royal wedding with Meghan Markle, Princess Charlotte also stuck her tongue out at the photographers standing by when she arrived in a car at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor.

It may have been something she inherited from her uncle. Even Prince George had been photographed a few times being candid and doing the same pose.

It's adorable to see these Royals during moments when they look carefree and at ease. Hopefully, their fun traits will be passed down to more generations to come.
