Famous actress Sarah Paulson defends her relationship with 75-year-old girlfriend

Sarah Paulson created a stir in the media after revealing her relationship with 75-year-old Holland Taylor in 2015. The couple is still going strong without being bogged down by others' reactions.

In an interview given to the magazine Modern Luxury on May 21, the Ocean's 8 star Paulson called Taylor the most spectacular person on the planet.

43-year-old Paulson and Taylor first met a decade ago at a dinner party. Although Paulson was dating someone else at that time, she thought that Taylor was the most exquisitely beautiful woman she had ever seen.

They met a few years later and exchanged numbers, started sharing messages, went out for dinners, and began their courtship. Paulson said that she was not bothered about what the critics had to say about their relationship.

“If anyone wants to spend any time thinking I’m strange for loving the most spectacular person on the planet, then that’s their problem. I’m doing just fine.”

Paulson has played a number of interesting characters throughout her acting career. She has played a sociopath, a drug addict and conjoined twins in American Horror Story.

She has also played the role of prosecutor Marcia Clark in American Crime Story. She does not worry about her looks. She said that she feels excited if she can't recognize herself in the mirror.

Paulson expressed her sadness over the fact that the society is surrounded by the superficial idea of beauty. She feels liberated personally and at work when she does not worry about her appearance.

The actress has no intention of letting her age slow her down. She believes that getting older will give her the opportunity to play a variety of roles that can encompass a wider spectrum of humanity.

Paulson's latest movie Ocean's 8 stars an all-female cast including Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Awkwafina and Sandra Bullock. The movie is set to be released in June 2018.
