Sentimental story behind Cheryl Burke's engagement ring
The Dancing With The Stars alum shared about the thoughtfulness of her fiancé in giving her a perfect engagement ring.
Cheryl Burke posted a gorgeous photograph of her wedding ring on Instagram and opened up about the emotional story behind it.
In her social media post, she admitted that she loved the look of the engagement ring on her finger but it was an important piece of jewelry for her for more than one reason.
The 34-year-old revealed through the caption that her fiancé, Matthew Lawrence, had teamed with her mother to find the original diamond which was gifted to her mother by her late father.
'Matt worked with my mom to get the original diamond that my late father had given her, and designed a new ring around that,' she wrote on her Instagram post.
Burke then went on to explain that how Lawrence had designed a new ring around the old one. The ring now had two intertwined circles that represented the two individual lives coming together as one.
In addition, engraved inside the circle are the words, 'Love you always and forever,' which Burke revealed were the words used by Lawrence to propose to her.
'It couldn't be more perfect,' she further wrote about the ring in her caption. She had also shared before advising everyone to swipe her post to look at her ring in its original state.
In a statement with the People, the representatives for Burke revealed that Lawrence had the store reset by taking the help of Burke's mother Sherri and XIV Karats. He then added more diamonds to create a unique ring for Burke.
Earlier on May 4, Lawrence himself took to Instagram to share a close-up shot of Burke's hand, with her wearing the ring. The delighted fiancé captioned the post by simply writing, 'She said yes.'
