Simone Biles' Eye-Popping Height Difference Photo With Her Husband Has Fans in Shock

The world-famous gymnast and the NFL player sparked a wave of astonished reactions on social media, thanks to an unexpectedly dramatic visual contrast.

On August 11, 2025, Simone Biles shared two Instagram photos with her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, that quickly captivated viewers. Taken on a football field, the post highlights the couple's extreme height difference in a playful, attention-grabbing display.

In one of the images from the post, captioned "bring your wife to work 🏈🤭," Biles and Owens stood facing and smiling at each other. She can be seen wearing sunglasses, a form-fitting black tank top, and ripped black jean shorts, accessorized with a black chain-strap handbag.

Meanwhile, he wore a white compression-style shirt with gray shoulder panels and black shorts with gray and orange trim. The most striking detail, however, was how the 4-foot-8 gymnast had to crane her neck to look up at her 5-foot-11 husband.

Their noticeable height difference was just as clear in the other photo, where Owens knelt beside Biles as they wrapped one arm around each other.

The ceremony marked a new chapter in their journey, which began in March 2020 and deepened with their engagement on Valentine's Day in 2022. During an exclusive interview with Today back then, Hoda Kotb asked Biles if she knew the proposal was coming.

"I thought it might happen this year but definitely not on Valentine's Day, so that's why it was such a shock," she answered. "The way he set up everything was just so seamless, and it was just a normal Valentine's Day for us, at least."

Owens was then asked how he went about preparing to ask the gymnast to marry him. "It was a lot of planning," he replied. "It probably took about two and a half months. Um, I kind of started talking to the jeweler in early December, just getting everything, you know, situated."

Additionally, Owens said his cousin helped coordinate key details, such as reserving the restaurant and arranging the photographer, while he was tied up with work. The football star also confirmed that Simone Biles had no idea he was planning to pop the question.
