Since the Obama administration ended, the former first family has quietly retreated into a private life. Towards the end of last year, it became apparent that the former first lady was writing a memoir and immediately fans and critics became interested. The cover is out.
Former first lady Michelle Obama has released the cover to her memoir that has been awaited with baited breath since it became apparent that she was writing a book. In an Instagram post, Michelle made the world aware of her book and reminded us all that our stories matter. The stunning cover shows her smiling visage.
“I’m thrilled to share with all of you the cover for BECOMING. The process of writing this book has been so personally meaningful and illuminating for me. As I prepare to share BECOMING this fall, I hope you’ll also think about your own story, and trust that it will help you become whoever you aspire to be. Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It is something to own.”
The memoir will highlight Michelle’s story from her humble upbringing in the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive while balancing motherhood and work. She will talk about her time in the Whitehouse too and the journey that led her and her family to the highest office in the land.
Michelle recently shared four previously unpublished family photographs of her family to highlight her story and it is expected that the memoir will have more of those. Becoming, which is scheduled to be released on Nov. 13 will be published worldwide, in 25 languages. The first release will be made in the US and Canada in both print and digital formats by Crown Publishing Group. An audio format will also be available.
