Pizza delivery woman gives poor man living in rundown trailer a new home
Angela Nguyen created a GoFundMe campaign and had raised $32,000 which helped the homeless man buy a new home.
In 2015, Angela, a pizza delivery driver, saved the life of one of her customers, Lee Haase.
Humankind shared her heartwarming act of kindness on YouTube.
Lee was Angela's regular customer. She usually got an order from the elderly man every Saturday.
After delivering a regular order to Lee, Angela noticed something devastating about his living condition. She knew that he needed help.
When Angela had a talk with Lee, she learned that his house suffered significant damage after a storm.
The man's home became unlivable because he was unable to afford the necessary repairs. To make matters worse, he had also lost his son because of a tragic car accident
Lee then moved into a 12-foot camper where he lived alone.
In the video, Angela said: “I thought we got to do something. We got to do something. We can’t let a human being live like this."
Determined to help in any way she could, Angela bought Lee a heater for the trailer. Then she created a GoFundMe page to help raise the money he badly needed. The donations began pouring in.
"We got donations from as far as Australia," she said.
Within two months time, Angela had raised $32,000 which helped Lee buy a home.
“Every single one of us enjoyed doing this. This ain’t all for Lee. We all benefited," she said.
Along with her daughter Sarah Hughes and a dozen other volunteers, Angela unveiled the home to Lee for the first time.
In an interview with USA Today, Lee said: "It's hard to explain [how I feel]. Just pretty awesome."
Angela really helped rebuild his life. She also inspired many people to help those who are less fortunate.
