From Carly Pearce to Blake Shelton — see winners list from the 2018 CMT Music Awards
The CMT Music Awards brought many celebrities together but not everyone went home happy considering that many people didn't manage to win one of the trophies.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, and it was particularly special for the likes of Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton and Carly Pearce.
While every artist gives his or her best in order to become successful, only a few are rewarded with a prestigious award to take home and share on Instagram, much like Carrie Underwood did.
The singer, who took a nasty tumble back in November 2017, breaking her wrist and injuring her face, won the Female Video of the Year Award for The Champion video clip featuring Ludacris.
When it comes to the male counterpart of the award, Blake Shelton was the big winner, beating Dustin Lynch, Jason Aldean, Jon Pardi, Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett with his I'll Name The Dogs song.
The same music composition earned the Shelton the Video of the Year award, turning Wednesday into a big night for The Voice's coach, who is currently dating Gwen Stefani.
Dan + Shay were able to come up on top in the Duo Video of the Year category. Although they were running against Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, their hit Tequila gave them the upper hand in the race.
Although Carly Pearce lost the Female Video of the Year to Underwood, she didn't go home empty-handed. The 28-year-old stepped on stage to receive the Breakthrough Video of the Year for Every Little Thing.
When it comes to Collaborative Video of the Year, Kane Brown was the bigger winner, beating Underwood's The Champion and Justin Timberlake's Say Something with What Ifs, which he performed alongside Lauren Alaina.
Little Big Town was awarded the Group vVdeo of the Year Award, while The Backstreet Boys proved that they still have what it takes to make a difference by winning the CMT Performance of the Year trophy.
