President Donald Trump met the widow of a country icon in Nashville and named his pick for the 'Best Country Singer ever.'
As reported by Country Music Nation, President Trump met Nancy Jones, the widow of the late George Jones, and shared with her that he believed that Jones was the greatest country singer ever.
George Jones official Facebook page appreciated Trump's compliment and shared his quote along with a photo of Trump with Nancy Jones.
The photo was captioned 'Nancy met President Trump last week in Nashville - according to the president, “George Jones was the best country singer ever.” We couldn’t agree more!'
Fans and followers of the legendary country singer were elated after learning the President's taste in music and commented on the photo.
One follower, Brandon Word, agreed with Trump and said that Jones was the best singer. He added that Trump will go down as the best President of the United States.
