Drew and Jonathan Scott have kids on the brain

HGTV stars Drew and Jonathan Scott are set to release their first-ever project for children this fall.

People exclusively announced that Drew and Jonathan Scott, the stars of the hit reality show Property Brothers, have written a children's picture book titled Builder Brothers: Big Plans.

The book contains the story of the two brothers planning to build a double-decker doghouse for their puppies, Stewie and Gracie. The story includes a twist when things go wrong when the grown-ups trample on their idea.

The brothers have to find a creative way to make their plans a reality. The adventure-filled picture book is written by the Scott Brothers and the cartoony side of the brothers was brought to life by illustrator Kim Smith.

Drew Scott mentioned in a release from Harper Collins that they decided to write a children's book, keeping in mind that children loved to make and build things. He claimed that the book will inspire them to dream and try new things.

Jonathan said that the story in their new book is just like the stories loved by the brothers when they were growing up. He added that the story was about trying to do what seemed impossible and succeeding in unexpected ways.

Although this is the first time that the Scott brothers have written a book for children, it is not their first literary venture. They released their renovation guide titled Dream Home in 2016.

Their memoir, It Takes Two, was released last September and it soon rose to number nine on New York Times' Bestsellers List.

Drew added that their venture into the space of children's books is one the most exciting things they have attempted so far. The book will hit the stores on October 2 and will appeal to children and adults alike.

It will also include an original DIY project that will engage the entire family. The twin brothers have made their mark on television since they first appeared in the HGTV reality series Property Brothers in January 2011.
