The Duggar family welcomes another baby boy

Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell had their first child together on Friday. The Duggar family made the announcement on their website.

On The Duggar Family site, the baby boy’s grandparents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar shared the joy of growing their clan. They also revealed that Caldwell and the boy were doing fine.

Garrett David Duggar was born Friday afternoon, weighing in at 7 lbs., 8 oz. The little boy measured 20.5 inches in length.

In a statement, his parents, Joseph Duggar, 23, and Kendra Caldwell, 19, said, ‘No matter how many times we’ve experienced the joy of babies born in our families, there’s nothing comparable to the joy in our hearts today! Children truly are a gift from God.’

The Counting On stars had initially revealed the baby’s sex in February through the Duggar family website. On Instagram, Caldwell announced the same news with a picture of herself and her husband in front of a cloud of blue dust.

‘We are so thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest grandbaby, Garrett David Duggar. Kendra and the baby are healthy and happy!’

In December last year, before the young parents knew the child’s sex, Duggar had said he hoped the baby would have his wife’s laugh. In turn, she revealed that she hoped their child would be “patient like Joe.”

The couple first met through their church and began courting in March 2017. In May, Duggar later proposed at his sister Joy-Anna‘s wedding.

In July the pair had a joint a bachelor and bachelorette party and on September 8, they married at the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. They were married by her father, who is a pastor.
