Anthony Bourdain's ex-wife breaks her silence with Instagram message about their daughter

Ottavia Busia, Anthony Bourdain’s ex-wife, paid tribute to him with a note about their daughter. Busia took to social media to share the message on Monday.

In the Instagram post, the ex-wife revealed that their daughter, Ariane Bourdain, had her concert that day. She also shared that the little girl had worn the shoes her father had bought for her to the event.

Busia and Anthony Bourdain were previously married for nine years. The couple separated in 2016 and only had one child together.

They had a daughter named Ariane Bourdain, 11. Even after their divorce, the two remained amicable and according to the late chef, they had lived separate lives for many years before they separated.

On Monday Busia wrote a message to him about their daughter. She revealed that Ariane had a concert and, ‘She was amazing. So strong and brave. She wore the boots you bought her.’

‘Our little girl had her concert today.’

The post was accompanied by a photo of the little girl holding a microphone with a band behind her. The ex-wife concluded her post by wishing Anthony ‘a good trip, wherever you are.’

Last week Friday, the famous chef died of an apparent suicide by hanging early. His colleague and best friend Eric Ripert found him in his hotel room.

Anthony was in France shooting for his CNN series, Parts Unknown. In an interview with The Taste in 2013, the star shared his love for his daughter.

"For me, [love] means the same thing it meant in 2012 and the same thing it will mean in 2014. It is the most glorious thing in the world to be the father of a little girl," he said.
