Serena Williams' daughter rocks red T-shirt & ponytail in photo with her 'pal'
Olympia, daughter of superstar tennis player Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, has friends in high places. She had her hair done in a cute ponytail as she hangs out with one of her ‘pals.’
When you have a tennis superstar for a mom, you get to hang out with and take selfies with Novak Djokovic. That is what Olympia was up to a few weeks ago as Celebtritist reports. The photo caption refers to the world’s number 22 - as ranked by the Association of Tennis Professionals - as the toddler’s “ole pal” which is all so cute. Her hair is done in a ponytail and the tennis champ must have said something funny judging by Olympia’s gummy smile.
Later, the 6-month old went out for a chat with one of the favorites; Alexis Ohanian.
Before she gave birth, Serena had expressed her worry in a Vanity Magazine about her chances at motherhood. She wasn’t sure she would make a good mother, which is understandable seeing as she has spent most of her adult life being scrutinized. Now that her baby is here, her doubts are gone.
“Now that I’m 36 and I look at my baby, I remember that this was also one of my goals when I was little, before tennis took over, when I was still kind of a normal girl who played with dolls. Oh, my God, I loved my dolls.”
She also noted that the birth of her baby gave her enough satisfaction to want to walk away from the game she has so strongly dominated. Only one thing holds her back; an unbroken record. “Maybe this goes without saying, but it needs to be said in a powerful way: I absolutely want more Grand Slams. I’m well aware of the record books, unfortunately. It’s not a secret that I have my sights on 25.” If Serena managed to break the 24-grand slam record set by Australian tennis legend Margaret Court, she may be ready to call it a day.
In the meantime, the legend is slowly making her comeback and looks good while at judging from the just-concluded French Open tournament.
