Tika Sumpter flaunts curves in tight black dress in recent picture from her birthday

Tika Sumpter turned a year older last June 20, and she made sure to prove she still looks her best despite turning 38 years old. The birthday girl sported an off-shoulder blue dress which featured flared sleeves and hems.

Everything seems to be going well for Tika Sumpter, who has been project after project lined up for her. The 38-year-old actress has been keeping herself busy with the different movies she is set to star in, including "Nobody's Fool" co-starring Tiffany Haddish and Whoopi Goldberg set to hit theaters this fall.

After being the star of OWN's TV show "The Haves and The Have Nots", Tika is ready to take in more movie projects like "Nobody's Fool", recently being cast as the female lead in Paramount Pictures' upcoming "Sonic the Hedgehog" movie.

"Sonic the Hedgehog" is a video game franchise that has been known fo how many decades. The animated speedy creature is known for trying to defeat his arch-nemesis Doctor Ivo Robotnik. This project is the first effort in trying to bring Sonic into the big screen.

Together with Sumpter in this live-action and animation hybrid film is "Westworld"'s James Marsden. The film is set to be produced by Tim Miller of "Deadpool", and produced by Neal H. Mortiz of the Original Film Inc.. The adaptation will be directed by Jeff Fowler. Fans of the video games franchise can expect the movie adaptation to hit theaters on November 15, 2019.

Due to her booming career, Tika's birthday post to herself seems to be very appropriate.

While Tika seems to be extremely busy, she is also a girlfriend to Nicholas James, and a mother to Ella-Loren. The actress gave birth to her child in October 2016, and has been posting adorable photographs of her since. Prior to her relationship with James, she was married to Hosea Chanchez from 2009 to 2012. The two did not have any children during their marriage.
