Little People, Big World just reached the end of season 18 with their Christmas episode, and despite it being the season to be jolly, things weren't exactly running smoothly.

While Chris Marek and Amy Roloff started by happily decorating their Christmas tree together, and they gave off the impression that they are in it for the long haul together, things got worse within the whole family throughout the episode.

While Marek told Amy he was looking forward to spending their first Christmas together, there were plenty of flashbacks of Christmasses past before Amy and her ex-husband, Matt Roloff, divorced, with the whole family

Even Amy was tentatively sad by the fact that her family wasn't together for the holiday anymore.

Given the festive season, Matt and his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, decided they wanted to throw a Christmas party. Chandler had made it clear she wanted to start her life with Matt without his ex-wife.

Unfortunately for her, Matt then suggested they invite Amy to their party. Although she was reluctant, she begrudgingly agreed to allow her to make an appearance.

But when Amy was invited, she made it clear that she had no interest in attending a party held by her ex-husband and his girlfriend, and no intention of being friendly with them.

Matt later told Chandler that he had not invited Amy to the party, saying that Amy still had an issue with them as a couple and only brought tension with to the room.

Instead, Amy elected to host a party at her house the night before, to which Matt decided to invite himself, despite knowing that Marek would be there.

The former couple's sons, Zach and Jeremy, sat down with their parents to discuss what they would be doing for Christmas, something that saddened the boys.

"The fact that we all have to get together to decide what we're doing is a bummer," Jeremy admitted. "It's not how it's supposed to be. We would all prefer to be a big, happy family."

It was also revealed that Matt and Chandler have purchased a house together in Arizona, leaving the future of the farm a mystery. They decided to tell the boys about this during their party.

At the same time, Marek and Amy enjoyed a quiet evening together at home, and spent the night telling one another how happy they were together.

On Christmas Day, Chandler and Matt headed off to Arizona to their new house, and the family patriarch questioned whether this move would be the end of the farm.

In the meantime, the youngest members of the family were celebrating their first Christmas. Babies Jackson and Ember Jean were both born in 2017, and Zach and Jeremy were excited to be starting their own traditions with their children.

At the same time, it got Zach thinking about having more children, and he not-so-subtly told his wife Tori that by Christmas 2018 they could have another little one running around.

Tori indicated that she would like a little more time before procreating again, but did share she would like another dog after her dog Tully died over a year ago. Unfortunately, her husband wasn't as receptive to the thought of another dog.
