Solange's teen son shared photos with his mother and father
Solange Knowles' only son is all grown up and is clinging to his mother in his latest posts. Though his parents have been divorced for years, he manages to keep them close. He even spent quality time with his father watching his mom perform on stage with a video to prove it.
Solange Knowles’ son Daniel Julez Smith Jr. is a teenager who isn’t averse to spending quality time with his parents. In fact, his Instagram account is a testament to his closeness to them, despite the fact that they’ve both moved on from each other since divorcing in 2007.
Mother’s Day was well spent with his momma who spent the day shopping with Julez. In a video clip the handsome thirteen-year-old shared, he danced behind his mother who took the video of them through a mirror.
Julez also shared a series of footages on a separate post where he’s grooving with his mom he so gently kissed after.
Back in April, it was Julez’s father Daniel Smith Jr. who joined him at Coachella when his mother took the stage with his aunt Beyonce. The father and son were clearly enjoying the concert in the video Julez posted and captioned,
“Your aunt and mom’s performance is everything”
Julez was born in 2004 when Solange was only 17 and shortly after she married his father who was a football coach. They resided in Idaho where Julez attended school. But three years later, the couple called it quits, just around the time Solange signed a deal with Geffen Records who produced her second album ‘Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams.’ Her debut album, ‘Solo Star’ was released in 2003.
Solange rose to greater fame when she released the single ‘Rise’ in 2015. It was inspired by the police killings in Ferguson and Baltimore. A year later, she shot to Billboard’s No.1 spot with the release of her track ‘A Seat At The Table’, placing her on equal footing with with her sister Beyonce. By 2017, she earned a Grammy for Best R & B performance of ‘Cranes in the Sky.’
Today, Solange is married to video director Alan Ferguson. The couple tied the knot in November 2014 in New Orleans.
