Fashion expert reveals why Meghan Markle always wears shoes that are too big for her
Avid Royal watchers noticed a very interesting detail about Duchess Meghan's shoes
The Duchess of Sussex is eagerly photographed by fashion magazines, and her elegance and unique style are much admired - but something about her shoes is peculiar, reported The Sun.
The Royal Ascott events have always been a showcase of aristocratic glamour, but the Duchess topped them all in a dazzling Givenchy outfit and a stylish hat. The more observant noticed that her chic black leather pumps were at least a size too big for the Duchess.
Fashion expert Harriet Davey explained that people who need to spend a long time on their feet, especially in heels, tend to buy their shoes one or two sizes up for public events.
The reason why is quite simple, to avoid painful blisters. Anyone who has ever had to stand for hours will have suffered from swelling that turns well-fitting shoes into instruments of torture.

"Celebs often go a size up, or even two, in the shoe department when they're at an event or on the red carpet and it's for one reason we can all relate to - to avoid blisters"

The swelling can cause blisters, and the long day can become agony. A long-term effect of tight fitting high heels worn for long periods of time can result in deformation of the bones, painful and unaesthetic bunions.
The oversized shoes may save the wearers from painful blisters, but how can they walk in them? According to Davey, the secret is to stuff the toes of the shoes with soft padding like gauze or cotton wool, which can be removed discreetly if the feet start to swell.

This is not the first time the Duchess NMeghanas employed this trick. Careful scrutiny of photographs shows that her shoes are always a little too big,
This can be seen in her engagement photographs in which she wore a pair of strappy beige suede stilettos that also looked several sizes too big. Even the incredible burnt orange Jimmy Choo velvet shoes she wore on an official visit to Belfast in March.
Duchess Meghan has proved to have the happy knack for combining her style and pizzazz with common sense.
