The celebrated Royal enclosure at the famous thoroughbred horse races is the runway where Britain's aristocracy strut their stuff and show off their finest and most glamorous looks.

This year, the Royal beauties had to bow to the Duchess of Sussex who blew the competition out of the water with a supremely elegant black and white ensemble by Givenchy, reported Inspiring.com.

The Duchess was accompanied by her new husband, Prince Harry, who looked dashing in the traditional top hat and coat tails.

She chose a white collared dress, with an unusual asymmetrical hemline, cinched in at the waist with a narrow black belt

She accessorized with a dramatic white and black Philip Treacy hat. Admirers likened her to Audrey Hepburn, an icon of fashion for her understated elegance and sophistication.

The Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge of Cambridge did not attend the event, but the newlyweds were observed to be in good spirits and chatting happily with Prince Edward and Countess Sophie.

Prince Edward, 54, is the youngest of the Queen's sons and Prince Harry's uncle.

The Queen wore a bright yellow outfit and a hat to match and rode into Ascot with her only daughter, Princess Anne, The Princess has just welcomed her second grandchild by her daughter, Zara Phillips.

The Ascot Racecourse is a favorite of the Queen and was founded in 1711 by Queen Anne. The first race held on the course was "Her Majesty's Plate", with a cash prize of 100 guineas. a small fortune in those days.
