Remember '90s R&B singer Jon B.? He is married to a Black woman and they have two daughters

Back in the ‘90s, Jon B caught a lot of backlash for being one of the first R&B Caucasian singers in the industry. Even though his career has had its ups and downs, now Jon is the father of two beautiful daughters, and his wife is a lovely black woman.

Jon B first earned the attention of the music industry and the general public thanks to his first single “Someone to Love," featuring Babyface. After that, the singer and songwriter released his first album, “Bonafide,” which helped him gain popularity at the time. He also wrote several songs for artists like Michael Jackson, Tamar Braxton, Color Me Badd, the Spice Girls and others.

He has released seven studio albums to date, and is still a widely favorite among fans of R&B music, making performances at festivals, clubs and small venues around the country.

These days, Jon splits his time between his passion for music and his family. The 43-years-old handsome man married to an African American woman named Danette Jackson back in 2007, and now they have two beautiful daughters, L’Wren, 10 and Azure, 4.

Jon’s family is his priority no matter what, as he confessed in an interview with You Know You Got Soul two years ago when he released his first album under an independent label, “Mr. Goodnight”:

“You know with my family being the main priority for me, the center of everything I do. The love that I have for my family and they have for me, that’s the glue that’s holding everything together. I think an album coming out is just a reflection of where I’m at and the harmonious vibes happening in my life.”

After many years, away from the recording the studio, and eager fans wanting to listen to some new music, Jon knew he had to do something to repay the love of his loyal followers. So, after some convincing from his wife, he decided to put together “B-Sides,” an album that contains all the songs that didn’t make it to his previous records.

Before the birth of Azure, Jon was already a down to earth father, and speaking to the Singers Room he revealed that his eldest daughter, LWren seems to be as talented as him:

“Family is everything. I wouldn't trade my wife and my little six-year-old baby girl for anything. They are my biggest priority. Before the concert, I took my daughter to Central Park, and we just hung out. I brought her along with me on the road. She's starting to play the piano like daddy, and hopefully, she can take over so I can retire. I'm just blessed to have my daughter and wife in my corner.”

On Father’s Day, the singer shared a slideshow of pictures with his girls on Instagram, one cuddling with Azure, the second walking with L’Wren and the last one having some fun by the river with the girls. “Happy Father’s Day to all The Fathers, Step-Fathers, Grandfathers. Thankful for my girls Azure and L’Wren you give me purpose beyond creativity Honored to be your Dad,” he wrote.

We’re glad to know that Jon B and his wife are still going strong after ten years of marriage, and their daughters will surely grow up to become two talented, smart and beautiful ladies.
