Michael Jackson's extended family attend private funeral of Joe
Joe Jackson passed away last week at the age of 89. His relatives attended a private funeral service for the patriarch of the legendary Jackson family.
As reported by TMZ, the ceremony was held at Forest Lawn in Glendale, and Joe will be laid to rest near the tomb of his son, Michael Jackson, who passed away in 2009.
Janet Jackson also made an appearance, as well as her brother Jackie Jackson, her mother Katherine, and Michael's youngest son, Blanket.

Photos of the ceremony can be viewed on People. Michael's eldest son, Prince, said on social media that his LA flight had been delayed.
His sister, Paris Jackson, also paid her respects. She had visited her grandfather in the hospital and was with him until the end. After his death, she shared a photo of her holding his frail hand.
In the caption, she wrote that 'spending those last few moments with [Joe] was everything.' She was grateful for the opportunity to tell him 'everything [she] needed to before saying goodbye.'
'You are the first true Jackson. The legend that started it all. None of us would be anywhere near where we’re at if it weren’t for you. You are the strongest man I know.'

Jackie also took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself helping one of his younger nephews to get ready for the ceremony.
Joe was born in Arkansas in the late 1920s. He married Katherine in 1949 and worked as a crane-operator to support his family.
The Jackson Brothers, consisting of Jackie, Tito, and Jermaine, was founded in the early sixties, and later renamed to the Jackson 5 when Michael and Marlon joined.
Joe is survived by his wife, as well as children Rebbie, Tito, Jermaine, Jackie, La Toya, Marlon, Randy, Janet, and Joh'Vonnie.
