Star of cult film 'Halloween' was kidnapped as in ransom plot
Daisy McCrackin and Joseph Capone were kidnapped on May 3 for ransom. McCrackin was driven around and forced to withdraw money.
While Capone was kept in a bathtub back at the kidnapper’s place. Luckily for the two, at some point, the actress managed to escape and get help according to TMZ and NBC News.
Three violent kidnappers maimed a Hollywood actor, Capone, and kept him and McCrackin hostage during a ransom plot. This was according to an indictment which was unveiled on Tuesday by a Los Angeles grand jury.
At the beginning of May, Capone and McCrackin, who stars in the horror movie franchise Halloween: Resurrection, were allegedly kidnapped and held for about 2 days. Three suspects tried to rob, extort and receive ransom from McCrackin.

For more on this story go to our Twitter account @amomama_usa. The indictment, which was filed on June 18, revealed that Capone was tortured and had an unspecified body part maimed.
He was exposed ‘to a substantial likelihood of death.’ The suspects, Keith Andre Stewart, 32; Johntae Jones, 25; and Amber Neal, 26, were in custody.
The case was still being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Division. It’s alleged that Stewart ‘did unlawfully and maliciously deprive Joseph Capone of a member of the body and did disable, disfigure and render it useless.’
Capone managed to survive the attack. According to the indictment, the incident unfolded when McCrackin's 2011 Lexus was stolen by Jones and Neal.

They obtained a gun and convinced Stewart to take part in going to the actress' home. There Capone was attacked and investigators found a trail of his blood at the residence.
The kidnappers covered the actor’s heads with black hoods. On May 4, they drove them to Jones' home in Compton where Capone was stripped of his clothing and kept, without food, in a bathtub for 30 hours.
At one point, Capone tried to help McCrackin but he was ‘beat, punched, and kicked’ in retaliation. Stewart also cut and disabled Capone's tongue, ‘put out an eye’ and cut his nose, ear, and lip.
At some point, he was also pistol-whipped. Jones allegedly took McCrackin's Lexus while Neal followed as they drove her to two or more Bank of America branches in an attempt to obtain funds from her account.

At one point, $100 was withdrawn and handed over to Jones and Neal. The kidnappers demanded $10,000 but ultimately settled for a check in that amount written to Neal.
The check was deposited in one of the suspect's accounts. Neal forged a document to claim that she was the ‘new Registered Owner’ of the Lexus and said that the car had been given to her by McCrackin.
After going to the bank, the suspects returned with the star to her home, and she somehow managed to escape. She quickly notified the police, who tracked down and arrested the three defendants.
Somehow Neal was released following the arrest. On Monday, she was rearrested in a traffic stop captured by an onlooker's video that went viral but was since deleted.

Neal was forced at gunpoint to exit a late-model Honda Civic. The Los Angeles police revealed via Twitter that ‘this individual was arrested on a felony kidnapping warrant.’
If successfully prosecuted for multiple charges connected to the alleged kidnapping conspiracy, violence and theft, Stewart and Jones could face life in prison without the possibility of parole. Neal could face life.
Bail was listed as $1 million for Jones and Neal and $2.08 million for Stewart. All three were scheduled to be in court for a pretrial hearing on July 23.
