Infowars Reporter Jamie White Found Dead After Brutal Incident – Details

Officers responded to an emergency call late Sunday night and discovered a well-known Infowars reporter in distress. Authorities are now investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Journalist Jamie White, associated with Infowars, has passed away. He was 36 years old. White was discovered with critical injuries in Austin, Texas, late on Sunday night and was subsequently declared deceased at a local medical facility.

According to reports, the Austin Police Department (APD) responded to a high-priority emergency call at 11:57 p.m. in the 2300 block of Douglas Street. Officers arrived within minutes and discovered White in the parking lot of an apartment complex with "obvious signs of trauma."

Emergency responders transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:19 a.m. Monday. Initially, authorities had not confirmed whether White was shot or stabbed.

However, a report from Fox News stipulates that the police believe White may have been shot while interrupting a burglary in progress. "The initial investigation shows that White was shot and killed in the parking lot of the apartment complex in which he lived [...] Detectives believe the suspects were possibly burglarizing White's vehicle when he interrupted them," the APD said in a statement.

The unidentified suspects then fled the scene before authorities arrived. The apartment complex where White lived has a history of criminal activity. Fox 7 Austin reported that 57 crimes were documented there in 2024, including aggravated assaults, vehicle thefts, and at least one burglary.

White's friend, Yecca Aaron, spoke about the heartbreaking loss and the circumstances of his death, saying, "Literally right when he got home, all that happened. It's crazy that he's gone just like that. I keep going back and forth between feelings of anger and sadness."

Aaron described White as deeply passionate about his work, noting how he "liked to stand for truths" and was committed to journalism.

"His work was his life. He loved going to work. He never slacked off at work. His articles were very well written. That was what he was meant to do, was to write articles," she added.

Additionally, White's friend does not believe he was targeted because of his job at InfoWars, stating, "I think he was just targetted because he was right there in the right place at the wrong time."

Meanwhile, via a statement, Infowars suggested that White's death was a consequence of policies under Travis County District Attorney José Garza, referring to him as the "Soros Austin, TX D.A." As the case remains unsolved, the APD is urging anyone with information to contact them at 512-974-TIPS.

"This is pretty early on in the investigation, and the homicide unit will be releasing more information as they're able," Austin Police Department spokesperson Leah Ratliff said.

Infowars founder Alex Jones confirmed White's death on Monday, revealing that the reporter had been working just hours before the tragic incident.
