Sharon Marshall and her partner Paul Fletcher welcomed Betsy yesterday and shared the joyous on social media. Betsey is her first child.

While her co-hosts on This Morning, Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, shared the news with Marshall's viewers, the Soap Queen took to Twitter as well.

She shared a beautiful photo of Betsy and thanked everybody for the lovely messages that were sent her way. She added: 'Life is just brilliant.' Read more on our Twitter, @amomama_usa

In another tweet, she also thanked her co-workers for all the 'messages, letters toys and most of all - beautiful knitting.' She is currently on maternity leave.

Her send-off was complete with pink balloons as well as the necessary items any new mum would need including toys and baby bath.

'We have been so honoured and touched that you’d take the time to wish our growing family well. See you at the other side.'

As reported by Daily Mail, the 46-year-old television personality and scriptwriter has been with This Morning for fifteen years and is their 'resident soap expert.'

She began her career on ITV's Celebrity Fit Club and was a panelist on Loose Women the following year, a panel of British judges who interviews celebrities.

She has been with Fletcher for a 'number of years,' and the duo settled down in West London. Apart from her television appearance, Sharon is also a published writer.

She is probably most well known for her decade-long stint at The Sun where she wrote a weekly column titled No Sex In The City.

Eleven years ago she published The Naughty Girl's Guide, and her memoir about her time as a tabloid reporter was released in 2010.

She has also, on occasion, written scripts for soap operas like Emmerdale and EastEnders  as well.
