Kate Middleton's christening hat sparks debates on Twitter
The 11-week-old Prince Louis was christening earlier this week, and the Duchess of Cambridge stunned in a white dress and headpiece.
She turned to her go-to designer, Alexander McQueen and wore a white knee-length dress with structured shoulder detail while the headpiece was designed by Jane Taylor.
However, observers of the Royal Family are in two minds and can't decide what to call the stunning creation! Read more about the design on our Twitter, @amomama_usa.
While some are referring to it is as a hat, others have opted for headpiece, headband, fascinator or bandeau.
A Twitter user known only as Marnie shared a short animated video clip of Cinderella and said 'that the vintage style halo hat is on point.'
Victoria Schilbach loved Catherine's white designer dress and added that 'don't get me started on the hat,' while Claire McHarron referred to it as a headband.
Dr. Ros Clarke couldn't decide between hat or fascinator and went with 'giant hairband instead, while writer and columnist Sarah Maclean envied their style in general.
'Every time I see a picture of Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle I have a pang of sadness that there is literally no hat I could pull off like they pull off hats,' she remarked.
Regardless of what it should be referred to, Inquisitr reported that Catherine has a long history of amusing fans with her choice of headwear.
Her favorite hat designer is Jane Taylor, who takes the type of event Catherine will attend into consideration before designing a headpiece for the Duchess.
She also understands Catherine's personal style and knows what sort of designs the Duchess would gravitate towards.
Prince Louis' christening was the first time that Prince William and Duchess Catherine appeared in public with all three of their children since welcoming the youngest sprout in April.
