Shereé Whitfield of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta has a rather large home that has been fondly nicknamed Chateau Shereé on the popular show. In early July, she gave a tour of the impressive mansion on Open House.

Whitfield, who loves to entertain, designed the home herself from top to bottom, paying close attention to small details in the home that others might have overlooked. The mansion was built about 18 months ago.

Because of the prevalence of guests at her home, Whitfield shared that she needed an open, flowing plan for the house, and made sure to incorporate large spaces, high ceilings, and plenty of light.

Whitfield used on-camera designer Mikel Welch to help make her home a reality.

“I finally finished Chateau Shereé about a year and a half ago, and I can honestly say — from top to bottom — it is my dream home, and I can’t wait to show you around,” Whitfield said on Open House.

She proceeded to lead the camera through the gigantic foyer, dining room, great room, kitchen, and basement. Complete with marble floors, high pillars, crystal chandeliers, and backsplashes, the home is not for a shy person.

“I love to entertain, so I wanted a wow factor the minute people walked through the door,” she said. “I think that what makes a luxury home so great is paying attention to detail. Here in the foyer, you’ll notice that detail, from the marble porcelain floors all the way up to the mother of pearl domed ceiling. Details like that establish the glamorous tone that I wanted throughout the home,” she shared.

Watch the segment in the video above for an in-depth look at the stunning mansion.
