Casual green outfit worn by Michelle Obama for a lunch date
Michelle Obama may no longer be First Lady but she still a great lady, and personifies the essence of chic
Michelle Obama swept into the Gjelina restaurant in Venice, California and froze the room with her cool elegance.
Obama swept in like a fresh breeze on a sultry day wearing green-and-white striped suit jacket coordinated with light-green wide-leg trousers.
Under the jacket, she wore a white top with an alluringly deep neckline. She wore light white sandals and sizzled in some contrast with a pair of dramatic pastel-pink sunglasses. Her only jewelry was a pair of hoop earrings, and her best accessory her dazzling smile.
The former first lady was at Gjelinas's for a casual business lunch. The theme of the meeting was not revealed but it may be any one of Obama's various interests or activities.
“It has allowed me, for the very first time, the space to honestly reflect on the unexpected trajectory of my life. In this book, I talk about my roots and how a little girl from the South Side of Chicago found her voice and developed the strength to use it to empower others. I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can’t wait to share my story.”

Obama and her husband Barrack just entered into a multi-year production partnership with Netflix through their newly created production company, ‘Higher Ground Productions.’
The Obamas signed a deal to produce content for the popular streaming site to include scripted and unscripted series, documentaries and features highlighting themes and issues pursued by the former president and his first lady during his tenure in the White House.

Obama is also currently preparing for the release of her memoir ‘Becoming.’ The memoir is to be released in November and will chronicle the incredible journey of the great-great-granddaughter of a slave from the South Side of Chicago to the White House.
Obama is currently actively striving to improve the plight of immigrant families suffering under the strict immigration policies enforced by Trump’s administration.
Obama and four other former first ladies joined the current First Lady Melania Trump in voicing their horror as immigrant families are torn apart at the US-Mexico border.
Obama shared Republican former FLOTUS Laura Bush’s tweet condemning the Trump administration, writing, “Sometimes truth transcends party.”
Bush said that even though she lives in Texas, a border state, and understands the need to enforce and protect international boundaries, she considers the zero-tolerance policy cruel, and describes it as immoral and inhuman.
As busy as she is, Obama always manages to look effortlessly chic and fresh. It is this extraordinary combination of incisive intelligence and compassion with an immaculate elegance that makes her an icon to millions of women all over the world.
