Popular reality star dead at 28
National Geographic Channel’s Wicked Tuna cast member Nicholas ‘Duffy’ Fudge has passed away. The star was only 28 at the time of his death.
Wicked Tuna took to Twitter on Monday to break the news. A moment of silence was also observed on the show’s Twitter to honor the star.
Wicked Tuna reality star Nicholas ‘Duffy’ Fudge was announced dead on the show’s Twitter page. They also shared a picture of the star in their post.
‘Duffy was the first mate on Captain Tyler McLaughlin’s fishing vessel, Pinwheel,’ the statement read in part. They shared that they were joining Fudge’s family and friends in mourning his untimely loss.

In honor of Fudge, Wicked Tuna also had a moment of silence on Twitter during their recent episode. ‘Rest In Peace,’ the page wrote on the post.

The obituary further shared that Fudge’s passions were fishing and the outdoors. It said that as a child, Fudge had begun tuna fishing with his father and grandfather.
‘After becoming one of the top sports fishermen in the country, he earned a place on the National Geographic reality show Wicked Tuna for multiple seasons,’ it further stated.
The obituary also informed people that the star had treasured the environment and had taken it as his responsibility to protect it. He would have turned 29 on August 1.
In addition to his parents, the star is being mourned by his ‘younger’ brother Cody Fudge; paternal grandfather Ronald Fudge Sr.; maternal grandparents Terry and Connie VanDeVoorde.
His girlfriend Ali Currier and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends also mourned his death.
