The Trump family is always in the headlines for some reason or other but rarely is it for athletic achievement.

Lara Lea Trump, 35 is married to Eric Trump, the second son and third child of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his former wife Ivana Trump.

Lara is one of the producer/hosts of Real News Update and an avid triathlon athlete. On the 23rd of July 2018, Lara came in seventh in her division and 243 overall in the Threadneedle Investments Boston Triathlon.

'Exercise helps me maintain my sanity, and it's a little more important now than ever. It's a great stress reliever. It's an incredible feeling to finish one of these races. And I just love training for it.'

Lara finished the race in an impressive two hours and 11 minutes, coming seventh in her division, which is women between the ages of 35 and 39.

Lara shared her disappointment that the swim portion of the competition was canceled due to the rain, but said that it was "fun anyway."

This was Lara's second triathlon in four months, and she took up her athletic activity again just 4 months after the birth of her first child Luke.

The triathlon is one of the most grueling sports in the field of athletics, comprising of three continuous and sequential endurance races.

Triathletes swim, cycle, and run over various distances, and the winner is decided by overall course completion and timed transitions between the three races.

Lara met Eric Trump while out on the town in New York City with friends in 2008. Lara attributed the fact that they spotted each other to "being, probably, the two tallest people in the room."

Three months later they went out on their first date and married 6 years later on November 8, 2014, at Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. Their son Luke was born on the 12th September 2017.
