Gayle King shares picture with adult daughter and son by the pool
When she is not reporting for CBS, Gayle King makes sure to do worthwhile things with the people that matter most to her. Recently, she made sure to spend some quality time with her adult children while lounging on the pool together.
Last month, Gayle reached headlines when she was brought to tears by the tragic news that she was reporting on live television. According to Inside Edition, CBS anchors Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell tried their best to fight back their tears while speaking about the fatal shooting at the Capital Gazette, an Annapolis-based newspaper.
Speaking about the news, King said: "The whole story is heartbreaking. ... You get up you go to work, you think its going to be another day and by the time the day is over your life has irreparably changed."
In the Capital Gazette headquarters, five people were tragically killed and others injured when a lone gunman stormed the office. The suspect was later on identified as Jarrod Ramos, 38, who has had a long feud with the paper. The Baltimore Sun, who owns the Capital Gazette shared that law enforcement confirmed this feud.
The victims of the tragic shooting included four journalists, Wendi Winters, Robert Hiaasen, Gerald Fischman, and John McNamara, and sales assistant Rebecca Smith. After being caught, count records show that Ramos was charged for five counts of first-degree murder.
Meanwhile, a good month after the incident, Gayle has tried to move on from the news. She is back to living life, making the most out of her time with her grown kids, calling them her most favorite people in the world.
"Chillin’ in California by the pool w/ two of my FAVORITE people in the world"
Gayle is now 63-years-old, and she has two grown children, Kirby and William, with ex-husband William Bumpus whom she married from 1982 to 1993.
