The two political allies and longtime friends stepped out together on Monday, July 30, 2018, in Georgetown to grab a bite at one of the most popular places in town.

Dog Tag Bakery couldn't help but celebrate the famous duo's visit by taking to its Twitter account and sharing a picture of the two politicians making their orders.

In the post, the bakery took the opportunity to thank Barack and Biden for their service while in office and for supporting their mission of helping service-disable veterans.

But that's not all that the bakery does; according to its website, it also supports military spouses and caregivers as they reenter civilian life, giving them a chance to fit in once again.

Dog Tag Bakery offers a five-month program that enables former military personnel to earn a Certificate in Business Administration from Georgetown University's School of Continuing studies.

Not only that, they will also be able to participate in professional workshops and wellness programs, as well as acquire valuable work experience at the bakery.

Despite the curious and excited crowd behind them, Obama and Biden ordered their food, with the former President asking his friend for help when it came to choosing an item from the menu.

After watching Biden order a ham and cheese sandwich, Obama decided to try it as well, after which he added a particularly good-looking fennel salad to his order.

Dog Tag Bakery didn't just have sandwiches, it also had ice cream, which is considered one of the greatest items in any menu by the former U.S. Vice-President.

Knowing this, in 2017, Cornell University officially recognized Biden's passion for the sweet treat by creating an ice cream inspired by him from Cornell Dairy, which was presented ahead of his speech at Cornell University's convocation ceremony.
