First Lady Melania Trump made major headlines after showing up in a dress much similar to the one worn by the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

According to Vanity Fair, the dress that Trump wore during her first arrival in London had a similar feel to the one worn by Markle earlier in the July during her first international trip as a member of the Royal Family.

Trump’s fashion statement included a cocktail dress from Roland Mouret which sported a little red belt with an asymmetrical boatneck, the fashion magazine reported.

The outfits were not completely identical but they seemed to share similar styles in terms of the color, the lines, and the overall look.

Surprisingly, Duchess Meghan also wore a Roland Mouret dress on the evening before her Royal Wedding.

Trump has always been a symbol of fashion and elegance and the spotlight of the world fashion will continue to be on her throughout her European trip.

Despite having stepped off the plane in an outfit similar to that of the Duchess, the two of them did not meet during this particular visit.

While the Trump couple had a tea with Queen Elizabeth II, Duchess Meghan was away on her official duties in Ireland.

England was the second stop on the Presidential couple’s tour of Europe, which began with a visit to Belgium. Before returning back home, the couple was expected to make visits to Scotland and Finland as well.

When the couple touched down at Glasgow airport in Scotland, Trump adopted a fashion statement which in complete contrast to the one she wore in England.

Express reported that she sported a racing green padded jacket with Burberry and beige cropped Michael Kors trousers which fitted her perfectly and accentuated her figure.

Similarly, for her trip to Finland, she chose to wear a butterfly-themed outfit, USA Today reported. She sported a Gucci wool coat in pale yellow along with a belt fastened with a gold butterfly buckle.

Her dress featured a notched collar, a front button fastening, a pleated design, long sleeves and side pockets.
