'America's Got Talent' performer scared a judge and made her run away
Mel B – a former Spice Girl and one of the judges on America’s Got Talent – ran away towards her dressing room after she was scared by one of the performers.
On the July 31st episode of the show, out of 18 acts, only seven of them were going to make it to the live shows. One act vying for a spot was Indonesia’s The Sacred Riana.
The contestant is an illusionist and has been performing creepy routines on the show.
During her latest performance, her routine scared Mel B so much that she ran out and headed backstage.

The contestant entered the stage carrying a scary doll, which she later handed to Mel B. The 43-year-old singer was hesitant to hold the doll and was even scared the moment Sacred Riana touched her shoulder.
As she went back to the center of the stage, she said that her “imaginary friend” wanted to play.
There was a dollhouse set up beside her. At first, she placed a bell and a candle inside it
Shortly after, the candle suddenly lit. Everyone from the crowd was spooked, especially Mel B who quickly handed the doll to fellow judge, Howie Mandel.
Next, the contestant took a blank book. She placed it inside the dollhouse and closed its doors.
Seconds later, the bell sounded and she opened the door. When she took the book out, she opened it and the pages showed doodles and bloodied handprints on every page.
On one of the pages, the supposed “imaginary friend” wrote, ‘I want to play with Mel B.’
The Sacred Riana took back the doll from the already-frantic judge and put it inside the dollhouse.
After closing the doors, she urged her “imaginary friend” to come out and play.
Suddenly, the dollhouse exploded and revealed a girl dressed much like The Sacred Riana with her hair covering her face. The people from the crowd screamed in horror but clapped for her afterward.
At that point, AGT judge Simon Cowell exclaimed that he wanted to end the performance right away.
Mel B agreed and said, “This is too much for me!”
She then ran off to hide backstage.
By the end of the episode, guest judge Martina McBride pressed the Golden Buzzer for one act, which meant the judges only had to pick six acts to make the cut. The Sacred Riana made it through.
Other performers who made it were The Savitsky Cats, the PAC Dance group, Quin and Misha – a ballroom dance duo, former Glee star Noah Guthrie, black light dance group UDI, and We Three – a band composed of three siblings.
The Sacred Riana had previously gained worldwide attention after winning Asia’s Got Talent in 2017.
