After US Vogue unveiled its September issue with Beyonce on the cover, fans couldn't help but compare it to the British Vogue cover that was revealed just days ago with Rihanna gracing the front page.

In Beyonce's case, the influential singer was given full creative control over the editorial, taking over from editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The singer chose 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell to take the photos, and according to Metro, this makes him the first black photographer to ever shoot a cover in the famous magazine's 126-year history.

The Queen Bey chose to do more of an inclusive cover for all, highlighting the words "Everyone's Voice Counts" right in front. She proudly shared three photos from the editorial, which is set to hit the stands this August.

Meanwhile, Rihanna is the first black woman ever to grace the cover of a September issue of British Vogue, who could be seen flaunting her own Savage x Fenty line and wearing makeup from her own cosmetics line as well.

The "Disturbia" singer was not styled by herself, but rather by the editor-in-chief of the magazine Edward Enninful. This issue would be his first ever September issue after just stepping into the role of EIC last year. Rihanna's photos were taken by British fashion photographer Nick Knight.

The "Big Fashion Issue" is the largest and most lavish of the year, as it contains a 400-page guide to fashion that is anticipated by many from around the world. While fans on Twitter continue to argue about these two photo shoots that bear a striking resemblance, it is important to remember that time should be spent celebrating both the phenomenal women's gorgeous shots and stellar accomplishments rather than pitting them against each other.
