Three elderly ladies try describing their most prized crops to a deaf friend

Slightest of lapses in communication can lead to hilarious instances. Something similar went down when three elderly ladies, one of whom was hard of hearing, sat down to chat in this story.

One day at a park, three senior women were sitting on a bench, chatting away casually about everyday matters. Suddenly, one of them started talking about vegetables and food items.

One thing led to another and soon they were all reminiscing about the price and the quality of vegetables during their heydays.

The first woman talked about how they would get big and large-sized cucumbers for just a couple of pennies.

To demonstrate this, she used her hands to show the exact length and width of the cucumber.

The second woman nodded, impressed. She then added that they also got larger the tomatoes at lesser the price back in the good old days.

To demonstrate the size of the tomato, she again used both of her hands and appropriated the size of the tomato they could buy in her days.

Now the third woman was watching the two of them. Unfortunately, being a little hard of hearing, she could not make out exactly what they were all talking about.

But this didn’t stop her from getting involved in the conversation.

She finally turned toward the two other women with an expression of recollection on her face. “I can’t hear a word what you’re saying,” she exclaimed. “But I know exactly who you’re talking about.”
