Kim Porter was 47-year-old when she suddenly passed away last November after complications with pneumonia. She left behind Quincy, who was raised by her former boyfriend Diddy, and her kids with the rapper: Christian, 20, and twins Jessie and D’lila, 12.

Even though his mother’s death was tough on him, Quincy has managed to focus on work while he moves forward and makes his mom proud.

Just a few days after her funeral service, Quincy shared a photo with Kim and mentioned in the caption that he was doing what she taught him: living life no matter how rough the circumstances were.

He wrote:

“You showed me how to simply live life and be happy no matter the circumstances. So that’s exactly what I’m doing. I miss you & love you so much mommy.”

Brown recently made his debut as director by working on a short film in partnership with Christian Louboutin. The clip, in which he also worked as producer and actor, was created to introduce the brand’s new collection of luxury runners for men and women, named Run Loubi Run.

“I am beyond honored to be a part of this project, which in so many ways has been a dream in every sense of the world. Having an iconic visionary’s implicit trust and empowering me with complete creative freedom allowed me to take this passion project to the next level,” said Brown in a statement.

He enlisted his brothers Justin Dior Combs and Christian “King” Combs, along with dancer Kid the Wiz, E! News host Erin Lim, actress Madalina Ghenea, and Peruvian actress Juana Burga, to create a futuristic setting that embodied the shoe’s modern concept.

“It is a perfect amalgamation of my love for all things fashion, art, music and technology and I’m just so excited for you to experience my vision brought to life in this video,” Brown stated.

Quincy stardom keeps rising, and there’s no doubt his mom would d be proud of his accomplishments.
