Gladys Knight, 74, defies her age in bright red lacy outfit in recent picture

The Empress of Soul, Gladys Knight, is still as active in the music industry as ever. She recently took her show to Atlanta, where she defied time rocking a lacy red outfit that stunned the audience.

Gladys Knight is looking beautiful at 74, charming her fans with the same bright smile and powerful voice that first led her to fame back in the ‘60s. The seven-time Grammy Award winner is currently touring around the country in the company of The O’Jays.

In their most recent performance in Glady’s native city, Atlanta, she drove the audience at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre on a trip to the past with some of her most notable hit songs, like “You’re The Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me,” “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” “Love Train” and “For the Love of Money”

Knight looked stunning rocking a long-sleeved lacy red blouse with matching red pants and heels. She completed the look with long earrings and her usual pixie haircut styled in a way that it let her face shine under the spotlight.

Ever since she appeared looking fresh at Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy Awards party earlier this year, fans started to speculate Knight had undergone plastic surgery. They accused her of having a facelift and even filling her lips.

But the R&B star slammed the talks with class sharing a lengthy post on her Instagram, explaining that her youthful face is the product of a healthy living and a ferocious glam team.

“I feel like I won a gold medal with all the compliments. You guys keep me young! Thankful for these God-given genes and clean living,” she wrote. Adding that playing tennis has become her favorite physical activity, and she practices to be as a good as Serena and Venus Williams.

She continued, “Of course I can't do this alone, I have the best glam squad and team that keeps me looking fresh and on point,” and proceeded to thank her husband, William Mcdowell, for being her best fashion adviser, joking that he missed his calling as a stylist.

She concluded:

“I also have to give credit to my amazingly talented hairstylist Tre @treworldhairsalon in Las Vegas for my Bedhead Pixie Cut. My makeup artist Miss Kayla @tress2impresskp had me GLOWING at the Clive Davis Grammy Party with @maccosmetics Skinfinish highlighter.”

Fans of the iconic Empress of Soul are continually praising her for aging backward and still gracing stages with her presence.

One user wrote “I'mma need you to start sharing your secrets Ms. Gladys so we all can glow FOREVA. Lol. You look fantastic gurl!,” and another added, “Yes indeed and on top of that you're one of the "few" female singers of your era that hasn't lost her singing voice.”

McDowell later took to his Facebook to share a video documenting his wife's journey to achieve her look for the Academy Awards and added on the caption "For all who ask... No Facelift, just God’s Grace and good living .... please share #itsallgood."

Gladys Knight will continue touring all the way through January 2019, when she’ll perform at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
