Tika Sumpter faced backlash over heir interracial relationship

Nicholas James’ Instagram account is the proof that he is a man in love after he shared a heartfelt message for his fiancé and mother of his daughter, last Mother’s Day.

The handsome blonde man stunned fans with a beautiful photo on Instagram alongside Sumpter while they were having lunch by of the sea.

Nick, who proposed to Tika on their daughter’s first Christmas, penned a beautiful caption:

“Happy Mother’s Day to my queen! Thank you for birthing our gorgeous girl. You’re the strongest woman I know and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to teach our little gift from God. Love you!"

This comes months after Tika revealed on “The Real” that she was trying to protect her daughter and Nick from the rude fans:

“I didn't want to hear, 'Who's the dad?'" Social media can be harsh, and I'm a mama bear, protective of my family. So that's why I waited to tell people, including some of my friends.”

Her fears were not unfounded, because once she revealed that her baby daddy was a white man, some people on social media started to criticize her for not being involved with a man from her own race.

But Tika, like Nick, didn’t let the haters dictate how she lives her life. She sent a heartfelt message to James through an Instagram post, saying:

“Ella's such a lucky girl. Nick James, you are an amazing father. I could not have asked for a funnier, more present and loving partner. Thanks, daddy, for sending me a good one."

The couple hasn't announced details about their wedding yet, as Tika is currently working on her next film project, an adaption on the screen of the famous video game "Sonic The Hedgehog," in which she will be sharing the screen with "Westworld" star James Marsden.
