Kid Rock's touching message to 'Queen of Soul' Aretha Franklin

Kid Rock posted a heartfelt message for Aretha Franklin before her untimely death.

Before the one and only Queen of Soul passed away, she was reported to be “gravely ill,” and many stars took to social media to send her messages of love and support.

News anchor Evrod Cassimy from WDIV Local 4 in Detroit tweeted on August 13 that Franklin was not doing well.

The reporter personally spoke with the family at the time, and they requested for prayers since her condition was already worsening.

Many stars saw Cassimy’s post and offered their prayers for the iconic singer.

Artists from all genres shared their experiences of how the 76-year-old inspired them to become the musicians they are today.

Kid Rock, a rapper-turned-country-star, was one of the artists who posted a touching message for Franklin.

He expressed his admiration over the singer and posted a black-and-white photo of a youthful Franklin.

He wrote, “Sending lots of love and prayers for Aretha. Truly a woman god has his hands on. All of my RESPECT - forever.”

The message was simple, but many were touched by his efforts to express his admiration over Franklin, who made such an impact in the music industry.

Other stars also sent their loving messages including Krystal Keith, who is the daughter of country legend Toby Keith.

She cited that Franklin was a big inspiration for her and her music career and wrote, “Aretha has given me confidence to attempt the biggest notes and hardest runs. Her voice is powerful in more ways than she could ever know.”

Bill Clinton also took to Twitter to reveal that Franklin was an important part of his life for the past 50 years. On behalf of himself and his wife, Hillary Clinton, he wrote, “We hope you’ll lift her up by listening and sharing her songs that have meant the most to you.”

Franklin passed away on August 16 after battling cancer. Following her passing, fans paid tribute to the singer by showering her Walk of Fame star with bouquets of flower and a crown.
