Kylie Jenner reportedly takes detour on red carpet to avoid run-in with Nicki Minaj in viral video

Kylie Jenner was in no mood to confront Nicki Minaj who she purposely avoided during the recently concluded VMA awards night. The reality star was captured on video backtracking her steps after she spotted the rapper who just recently slammed her boyfriend Travis Scott online.

A video of Kylie Jenner avoiding a run-in with Nicki Minaj at the Video Music Awards has gone viral. In the clip, the reality star was seen stopping in her tracks when she sighted the rapper from a distance on the red carpet.

Minaj arrived at the scene first and appeared to be oblivious to Jenner who showed up from the other side of the carpet just a few seconds later. Jenner was initially in a happy mood surrounded by an entourage, but her disposition changed when she spotted Minaj from afar. This prompted her to turn around and take a detour to avoid a face to face with her boyfriend Travis Scott’s basher.

Days before their near run-in, Minaj launched an online attack against Scott. The rapper’s No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 for his album ‘Astroworld’ didn’t sit well with the singer whose album ‘Queen’ came in second. On Twitter, she suggested Scott used his girlfriend and their daughter Stormi to spark interest in his album. Minaj claimed Scott’s album’s popularity was only due to the fact that Jenner included a link to his album in an Instagram post where she also revealed she and her daughter will be joining Scott on tour.

“I put my blood sweat and tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. Lol. Im actually laughing,”

She also defended her album by saying ‘Queen’ broke number 1 in 86 countries.

In a separate message, Minaj attributed Scott’s soaring sales to the bundles he attached to his albums that include merchandise and “season passes” entitling fans to priority entry in the venue as well as discounts.

Hours after her tweets, Minaj denied she had issues with Scott and Jenner and shrugged off her rants as mere sarcasm.

“People are calling me thinking I’m huffing & puffing. Omg y’all this is sarcasm/dry humor. Yikes. I’m having the most iconNIC time. Come let me kiss you.”

She added,

“When people call me & hear me crackin up laughing they seem so puzzled. Loosen up.”

Minaj may not be harboring any ill feelings towards Scott and Jenner, but the reality star didn’t seem to share her sentiments on Monday. Jenner was clearly trying to avoid Minaj as the video below shows.

Meanwhile, Jenner was faced with another issue following her 21st birthday celebration. A clip of Scott holding their daughter Stormi which she posted from a party at home brought up an old controversy surrounding her little girl’s paternity. A couple of fans commented on the clip reposted by The Shade Room and insinuated Jenner’s ex-bodyguard, Tim Chung is Stormi’s real father because she looked Asian. However, other fans were quick to defend Scott by saying the baby was a perfect mix of the two celebrities.
