'General Hospital' star shares update of her surgery and gets big reaction from fans

The 37-year-old Emme Rylan needed additional surgery on her nose after breaking it two years ago. She shared an update on social media.

Rylan shared the news with her 173,000 Instagram followers yesterday, and joked in the caption that she's "one of those girls that post pretty pictures with a soft filter."

The photo showed her with a brace around her jaw and bandages across her face and under her nose, with the nose bridge severely bruised.

The surgery was needed after her 3-year-old son Levi accidentally broke her nose back in 2016.

The post received more than 10,000 likes in the short period it's been up, and fans rushed to the comment section with messages of support.

Most wished her a speedy recovery, while Heather Ray said the same thing happened to her with her first and third child.

Another user hoped that Rylan wasn't in too much pain while a user known as Petra said her father also accidently broke her nose three decades.

Due to communism in her country, her parents couldn't take her to the hospital for fear that they might be locked up. She only had reconstructive surgery a few years ago.

Fans of General Hospital can look forward to a tense and emotional ride thanks to the upcoming episodes and story arcs planned.

A special tribute episode will air on September 3 on ABC, and the episode will focus on Nathan's funeral and the effects it had on his loved ones.

Oscar will also be experiencing a medical crisis, and it will come to light that Ryan was locked up at Ferncliff.

Rylan portrayed the role of Lulu Spencer and joined the cast back in 2013. Throughout the years, Spencer was portrayed by no less than 10 actresses, including Tessa Allen and Julie Marie Berman.
