Kate Middleton appears to be a normal mother despite her title of Duchess, in the sense that she reportedly forgot to take socks with her while clothes-shopping for her children.

The new school year is right around the corner and the Duchess of Cambridge took on the task of getting Prince George and Princess Charlotte ready for the big day.

But, according to Hello! Magazine, the 36-year-old forgot to pack some socks before heading to John Lewis partnership brand Peter Jones for school shoes.

It is normal for parents to be a little on edge as school days start getting closer and closer, but forgetting such an important item can be the difference between comfortable shoes or really tight ones.

At the time, she was pregnant with Prince Louis, but now she is all ready to help George and Charlotte in any way she can to make sure that their return to school goes as smoothly as possible.

The little Prince will go back to attending Thomas' Academy in Battersea for his first day of Year 1, while the Princess is set to attend Willocks Nursery School.
