Girl who was trying to follow dangerous dance trend gets life lesson from mom
A teenager in Mexico ended up reprimanded by her angry mother after she caught her daughter doing the famous and dangerous ‘Kiki Challenge,’ and the video went viral.
The Mexican teenage girl joined the thousands of people worldwide who are trying the controversial internet challenge which consists of jumping out of a moving car to walk next to it while dancing and singing along Drake’s In My Feelings.
For obvious reasons, as Mirror reported, the latest trend has been criticized for the risks involved in it. Apart from the serious harm that can result from something going wrong with the stunt, it can get you in trouble with the traffic police.
But none of these concerns seem to be what was in this girl’s mother’s mind when she hilariously interrupted her daughter’s attempt at the “Kiki Challenge.” All she wanted was to get the girl to stop dancing and help her clean up the house.
The girl’s dance routine and overall performance were going pretty well before the mother appears at the scene, slowly approaching from the background, unnoticed by her daughter. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa.
“What are you doing? Go to your room to clean it. You can dance in there,” the furious woman shouts to the teenager when she gets to her. Not content with yelling, the mother takes off her sandal to throw it at the girl as she runs away.
The sudden intervention of the woman makes the person who is behind the camera burst into laughter, something that turns the mother’s fury against her daughter’s friends. “I’m sick of you, too. Go dance somewhere else,” she says.
In the two weeks since the clip was posted to a Facebook page, it has been shared 25.000 times and ‘liked’ 16.000 times, apart from gathering thousands of comments.
“Well done. I hope that this way they stop doing dumb things everytime they see something stupid online!”

Others took sides with the girl, like Maria Irma Hernandez, who wrote: ‘Keep dancing, ignore that grumpy old lady. Don’t listen to her, all she wanted was to take part in the video.”
The ‘Kiki Challenge’ was started by the comedian known as Shiggy, who performed a curious dance next to a car in the street as his friends recorded it. He posted the video on his Instagram on June 29, and it became a trend.
The video, which started the craze, didn’t feature any moving vehicles, but somehow it evolved to that as people started to make their own versions of it.
According to BBC, the challenge has caught the attention of authorities from many countries, including India, where people have been arrested after been surprised doing the viral act.
After an Indian Youtuber called Funcho Entertainment uploaded a video doing the challenge using the train instead of a car, gathering two million views, an Indian magistrate decided to give him an exemplary punishment.
In order to raise awareness about the dangers of the challenge, the Youtuber and his collaborators were forced to clean a railway station for three days.
