'Saturday Night Live' star shocks everyone with a most surprising fashion choice

The public was shocked when Fred Armisen from “Saturday Night Live” arrived at this year’s Emmy Awards sporting vampire fangs.

Many fans shared their two cents about the unusual fashion choice. Armisen debuted his false vampire teeth when he posed on the red carpet with his girlfriend, Natasha Lyonne.

It was a treat for his fans as he showed off his comedic side at the prestigious awards. Lyonne also shared a picture of herself and the comedian during the event on Twitter.

The 51-year-old Armisen looked chic yet spooky wearing a black suit with a red pocket square to match Lyonne’s red, lacy dress.

The comedian also sported a medallion on his tie, which added a regal accent to his ensemble.

On Lyonne’s Twitter post, the 39-year-old “Orange Is the New Black” star looked fierce in her fiery, long gown, posing beside Armisen with her hand resting on his shoulder.

As Page Six suggested, perhaps the couple was featuring an early Halloween get-up or Armisen was hinting the public with his new role for an upcoming Amazon series, “Forever.”

For the series, Armisen will be playing a character who ends up in the afterlife. The vampire fangs and the spooky ensemble during the Emmys could have been a simple nod to his new role.

The comedian attended the 70th yearly-held Emmy Awards since his sketch comedy series, “Portlandia,” was nominated for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series.

His show, which aired for eight seasons, joined the list of nominees for the category that included shows like “At Home With Amy Sedaris,” “Drunk History,” “I Love You, America,” “Tracy Ulman’s Show,” and “Saturday Night Live.”

On Twitter, many users couldn’t help but discuss Armisen’s fashion choice. Some said they were confused and others said they were surprised.

One user, Leeza, wrote, “Why does Fred Armisen have fangs on his teeth im [sic] confused.”

Another user, Danielle Turchiano, said, “Fred Armisen is wearing fangs. This is definitely the most surprising fashion choice I've seen tonight.”

Michael Che and Colin Jost hosted this year's Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. USA Today recently shared the list of winners for the various categories.
