HOW IT ALL STARTED

TRACKED AND HANDCUFFED

The New York Police Department was able to locate the female suspect, who hid in the basement, and she was also transported to the hospital.

According to the police, she was treated for several stab wounds on one of her wrists, which they believed to have been self-inflicted.

POSSIBLE CHARGES

So far, no charges have been filed against the 52-year-old, but authorities suspect that the daycare business was unlicensed, which will add to her charges.

Violence against children seems to be growing at an alarming rate; recently, Chris Watts, from Colorado, was accused of murdering his pregnant wife and two daughters after a rage attack.
