On Saturday, the former first lady wed Joel Sircus to Stephanie Rivkin, the daughter of her good friends Deputy Mayor of Chicago, Robert Rivkin and his wife Cindy Moelis. Both bride and groom are reportedly cum laude graduates of Yale. Stephanie is currently working as a sales account manager for Google while Joel is an investment associate at DNS capital. The ceremony was held at the Theater on the Lake on September 22 and a video was obtained by TMZ.

In the clip, Michelle and the couple stood outdoors under a Jewish wedding canopy known as a chupah. Mrs. Obama reads the vows which the bride repeats. Michelle reportedly didn’t stay for the reception which took place indoors.

Michelle’s wedding duties precede her upcoming 10-city arena tour to promote her memoir, “Becoming.” She’ll be making her first stop in Chicago on November 13 before proceeding to Los Angeles, Washington DC, Detroit, and New York, among others. According to Live Nation, though her tour will be held in big venues, it will include “intimate and honest confessions” with selected moderators where she’ll be reflecting on several personal stories featured in her book.

Experts say this is the first book tour of this magnitude requiring space for a large crowd. Book tours usually accommodate only 3,000 people but Michelle’s tour reportedly requires venues that can seat at least 10,000. Ticket prices are also reportedly massive with seats selling from $30 to $30,000. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to local charities.

Michelle has remained busy since leaving the White House. And along with her many initiatives, she often makes headlines for being her candid self. Just last week, she graced Oprah Magazine’s Instagram account in a photo revealing her playful nature. She had just finished a makeup session and decided to cap the moment with a kissy face. Dressed in a white robe, she pouted her lips in the photo where she’s accompanied by an unidentified male. The cute snap just solidifies the notion that she is quite a charmer apart from being an influential personality.
