The 49-year-old was performing the second last song of the night, "Dance Again," while handing out high fives to cheering fans crowded around the stage when it all happened.
Lopez's foot went out from under her and she ended up hitting the floor but revealed a great deal of agility while getting back up in the blink of an eye.
JUST LIKE A CAT
Her recovery was so quick that it might have been missed by those who weren't near her, but social media is unforgiving and the fall ended up being shared anyway.
Still, the slightly awkward moment didn't ruin the show and everyone had a great time, not only during the pop diva's performance but also while meeting her backstage.
POSING WITH FRIENDS
After the show, Lopez welcomed Jessica Alba and Sofia Vergara, with whom she posed for a very relaxed photo, in which her boyfriend of 18 months, Alex Rodriguez, also appeared.
Unexpected occurrences, particularly falling, are something that can happen during live shows and almost every artist in the world has experienced at some point.
MARIAH CAREY'S TRICKERY
Mariah Carey, the owner of one of the most powerful voices in the world, also took a tumble during "The Butterfly Returns" show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.
The singer got back up onto a rolling box with the help of her boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, but the embarrassing moment caused quite a lot of controversy because fans realized that Carey had been lip-synching.
