Woman driven to tears by boyfriend's cruel marriage proposal: 'I hate you'
Anthony Bordignon an amateur pilot took the marriage proposal to his girlfriend of two years to extremes when he used a prank to ask her hand in marriage.
Katherine Wareham, Bordignon’s girlfriend went on a plane ride with him, and when he pretended the plane had engine failure it terrified her. Bordignon filmed the proposal and posted it online which stirred up controversy.

THE PROPOSAL PRANK
Bordignon staged engine failure of the airplane they were flying within minutes of take-off. He handed Wareham a checklist and told her not to panic and added:
“’I’m not getting any response on the controls here’ and then warning her they may even have to make an emergency landing in a field.”
Scared Wareham read out loud:
“Verify flight ring is engaged. Initiate ring engagement process. Follow steps 11 to 14.”
She realized it was a marriage proposal and shouted at him:
“I hate you!”
Bordignon told Wareham to continue reading:
“Will the pilot in command love the passenger forever? Check. Will you marry the pilot in command?”
After much tears, Wareham accepted his proposal and told him what an idiot he is.
An extreme marriage proposal of another kind was seen by millions of people during the Emmy Awards earlier this year when Glenn Weiss turned his acceptance speech for an award for outstanding director into a marriage proposal.

AFTER THE PROPOSAL PUBLIC REACTION WAS MIXED
Several people responded to the video was of opinion it was romantic, Joe B wrote:
"You made an old man smile very big... Thank you both!"
There were also people that were of the opinion that Bordignon went too far with the prank and that Wareham didn’t appreciate the way he did it. Awsome Crafter claimed:
“This is forced. She knew if she had said no, he would have thrown her out of the plane. That’s why she is crying.”
Another prank proposal involving planes took place in Granite Bay when Rodger Makishima, a volunteer with the Placer Sheriff search and rescue team turned what was supposed to be an air ops demo into a marriage proposal. For the story behind this proposal follow the link.
