Video of little boy born without hands helping his newborn brother goes viral
A sweet three-year-old boy named Camden might have been born without arms and legs, but he sure knows how to take care of his newborn baby brother, Jaxton.
In a video that has now been viewed more than 7 million times on the social media sites Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit, Camden notices his little brother crying while they both laid on the same blanket. He then proceeds to turn around and pick up a pacifier with his right arm and face, before carefully placing it back into Jaxton's mouth.
Using his mouth to nudge the pacifier from behind, he made sure to keep pushing until his brother was able to suck on the soother.
Camden, a resident of Texas with the rest of his family, was born with a rare condition called phocomelia syndrome, where the bones of one or more limbs are not formed properly, and another condition called Amelia, a birth defect wherein one or more limbs are missing.
In a previous interview, proud mother Katie Whiddon says that despite his disabilities, their young 3-year-old knows how to take good care of himself, which reflects in the way he takes care of his little brother.
“He mostly feeds himself, gets around the house by himself, sits on the potty by himself, climbs up stairs, and so many other things we thought that he would never be able to do. He has amazing problem-solving skills,” she says. “He tries everything over and over until he gets it.”
As early as three-years-old, Camden already knows how to make the most out of what he has, especially when it comes to helping out his little brother. This type of love that he is showing is definitely just one of the many things that he will be able to do for others as he grows up, especially since even at such a young age, he is already willing to go through great lengths just to live a normal life.
