A young boy working at Burger King wanted to help the hungry, homeless man and offered to pay his meal. Little did the employee know, someone saw his kind act and gave him a hundred-dollar tip as a reward.

The teen’s mother, Michelle Resendez, took to Facebook to share how proud she was of her son as she told the story of how he helped the homeless man.

One day, the homeless man stepped inside the fast food joint where the teen boy named Matthew Resendez was working in. He was at the counter when the man approached him.

The man asked Matthew what he could buy for only 50 cents since that was all the money he had.

Matthew felt terrible for the man and thought that he should do something to help him. He asked that man what he would want to eat if money was not an issue.

The man said that whatever could relieve his hunger was fine with him.

Without hesitation, Matthew ordered a full meal for the man and paid for it using his debit card. He also told the man to sit down in one of the booths and enjoy his food.

Not long after, it turned out that a woman was watching Matthew the entire time. She witnessed his random act of kindness and was touched and wanted to reward Matthew.

“Not only did she write the company to let them know about the caring employee they had working for them, she also rewarded my son with a very generous tip!” shared Michelle.

As seen in the photo posted by Michelle, the woman gave Matthew $100 for his heartwarming gesture.

At the end of the post, Michelle gushed, “So proud to be his mom and I can pat myself on the back knowing that I’ve played a part in raising this big hearted [sic] young man.”

Meanwhile, in another viral story, another homeless man went into a Tennessee restaurant and asked the bartender what he could eat for only two dollars.

Without hesitation, the bartender also stepped up and gave the man a full meal free of charge.
